Eva Mae Platt

Eva was born on September 4, 1892 on a farm near Bardolph (Bardoff), Illinois.
She attended country school which was called Crabb District School.
According to one source she married Raymond Russell Huckins on December 18, 1924, but the certain date is unknown.
Her children with Raymond were as follows:

• George Huckins. (Born about 1926 at Griswold, Iowa. Died when five years old by accidental hanging while playing in a barn. As one story goes, Eva, not a large lady, carried the five year old George in her arms several miles to the nearest hospital in an attempt to save the boy.)


• Lela Mae Huckins. (Born February 17, 1932 in Springville, Iowa. Married Keiffer Garton Jr. on June 6, 1954 at the Alice Church near Center Point, Iowa. Living today in Washington, Iowa.)


• Billy Ray Huckins. (Born October 24, 1933 in Springville, Iowa. Married to Barbara Hurd in Walker, Iowa. Died November 17, 1976 near Center Point, Iowa.)


• Dorothy Ann Huckins, and (Born November 28, 1934 at Springville, Iowa. Married Philip Harris in Reno, Nevada in 1960. Living today in Sparks, Nevada.)


• Dale Allen Huckins, twins. (Born November 28, 1934 in Springville, Iowa. Married Bonnie Christensen on September 7, 1956 at the Alice Church near Center Point. Living today in Center Point, Iowa.)

Eva died in 1971 in Washington, Iowa.
