 
Nevada BarnhartNevada Barnhart was born on February 18, 1860.
She married George Washington Platt and in February 1893 lived on a farm 4 and a half miles west of Bardoff (Bardolph), Illinois with her husband. The marriage between Nevada and George probably took place in the mid 1880's.
Her children with George Washington Platt were as follows and lived in the places listed in 1958:
- Earl Platt. (Died when 4 years old.)
- Carl Platt.
- Roy Platt. (Rock Island, Illinois.) Lived in Rock Island, had a big family.
- Eva Mae Platt. (Born September 4, 1892 at Bardoff (Bardolph), Illinois. Married Raymond Russell Huckins on December 18, 1924. (Date of marriage uncertain.) Died in Washington, Iowa in 1971. In 1958, she was living in Center Point.)
- Mabel Platt. (Macomb, Illinois.) Mabel had polio. She went to college and became a teacher and taught her whole life. Most of her teaching was in Bardoff, IL, near Macomb. When she was teaching, or out, she worn felt bedroom slippers.
- Nina Platt. (Rock Island, Illinois.)
- Jennie Platt. (Detroit, Michigan.)
- Howard Platt. (Macomb, Illinois.) Didn't marry until late in life. He and Mabel lived together for years. Worked as a handyman. Married Abbe Coon. Lived in Macomb, and is buried there.
